SNCL rules confer no obligation on clubs to provide alternative dates for original games that are postponed because of bad weather.
If clubs choose to rearrange such postponed games which are then, for whatever reason, not completed, no penalties will apply.
Clubs now have the opportunity to concede fixtures when they are unable to raise a side for the original game; the defaulting club having that fixture added to their total played. Their opponents, while gaining no points advantage, will have that conceded game counting towards meeting The League’s requirements for completed fixtures.
This new format is being trialled in 2021 and will be reviewed at the end of the season.
